Camp & Adventure AccreditationThe Camp/Adventure Accreditation Program represents the gold standard for camps and outdoor activity providers in Australia. This comprehensive program merges the Australian Camps Association's 'Camping with Confidence' initiative with the Australian Tourism Industry Council's Quality Tourism Framework (QTF), creating a unified benchmark for excellence in our sector.
Government mandates are driving demand for accredited providers:
● Victorian Department of Education: Requires all Victorian Government schools to use accredited residential campsites
● Catholic Education Office (Archdiocese of Melbourne): Mandates accreditation for all Catholic schools in the Diocese
● Other states are following this direction, making accreditation essential for business development
Accreditation isn't just about compliance. It's about demonstrating your commitment to safety, quality, and professional excellence to potential clients, giving you a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
The program ensures that residential camps, outdoor experiences, and adventure activities operate with participant and staff safety as the top priority. This includes:
● Appropriate buildings and facilities
● Proper activity equipment provision and safe usage
● Clear supervision procedures for campers
● Efficient booking administration systems
● Comprehensive emergency management planning
The program acknowledges the wide variety of camp and outdoor experiences available, ensuring safety considerations are paramount regardless of whether you're hosting:
● Large or small groups
● Children or adults
● School groups, special interest groups, or community organisations
