										Our Logo

The Australian Camps Association logo represents more than our organisation, it embodies our commitment to ensuring all groups, regardless of their background, are welcomed into the outdoor experiences we champion.
In 2020, we undertook a significant and intentional change to our logo design. This wasn't simply a visual refresh, but a meaningful act of recognition and respect. We amended our logo to symbolically incorporate the foot and fingerprints of all Traditional Custodians across Australia.
Every element of our logo tells a story:
The footprints and fingerprints represent the deep, enduring connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have maintained with the Australian landscape for over 60,000 years. These marks symbolise their presence, knowledge, and ongoing custodianship of the lands where our members operate their camps and outdoor programs.
The symbolic representation acknowledges that wherever camps and outdoor activities take place across Australia, they occur on Country that has been lived on, walked on, and cared for by Indigenous peoples for millennia.
When the Australian Camps Association and our members display or promote our logo, we are respectfully acknowledging this fundamental truth about the land we operate on. It's our way of ensuring that recognition of Traditional Custodians is woven into the very identity of our organisation, not just mentioned in passing.
Permission must be obtained before using our logo in any format or context. This includes:
● Digital and print materials
● Websites and social media
● Promotional materials and signage
● Merchandise or branded items
For logo usage requests or to obtain high-resolution logo files, please contact our team. We're happy to work with legitimate partners and members who wish to appropriately display our logo while respecting its significance.
This logo represents our ongoing commitment to reconciliation, inclusion, and respect for the Traditional Custodians of the lands where outdoor education and camping experiences take place. It serves as a daily reminder that our work in connecting people with nature happens within a deeper, richer cultural context that deserves recognition and respect.
